High-Velocity Flushing SkidHere we are back again with some more notes from the industrial filtration field…

This time a power generation facility in central Pennsylvania needed their turbine reservoir oil cleaned during a scheduled outage. Approximately 12,000 gallons of oil need to be cleaned from ISO 4406 22/20/16 to ISO 4406 17/15/12 or better.

Day 1: Utilizing one of our variable-flow 600 GPM flushing skids and a portable laser particle counter, we hooked up to the reservoir and started flowing. After just two hours the ISO codes started dropping, almost to the desired cleanliness code by the end of day one.

Day 2: We started flushing the oil at 7:00 A.M. and we were able to clean the oil to ISO 14/13/9 by 1:00 P.M.  After breaking down the system and cleaning up we started our journey home by day’s end… another success story!

Do YOU have any questions about our on-site flushing services or about filtering turbine reservoir oil?

Here at PFP, I actually manage the operations, including all types of equipment rental services.
